  4. Try an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory. When you use an anti-inflammatory product, you are targeting the main cause of the pain, which is inflammation.
  5. After you try all of these at home remedies and you still find yourself in a great deal of pain, you might need to try prescription drugs. If that’s the case, be sure to discuss all possible choices with your physician.
